The Regional Medical Center (RMC) in Orangeburg, S.C., and FHN in Freeport, Ill., have both engaged Aegis Health Group
to help implement and manage a strategic physician relationship management
program aimed at building physician loyalty and enhancing opportunities between the medical centers and their local physician communities.
Aegis’ physician relationship management program combines the latest technology with a high-touch approach that helps hospitals better connect with their medical staff’s needs and professional goals. Aegis’ proprietary PRISM software allows hospitals to track and respond to individual doctor’s requests in a personal and efficient manner and measure the value of building long-term relationships with their physicians using a data- and results-driven approach.
FHN is an award-winning regional healthcare system serving communities in northwestern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. More than 100 medical and allied health staff provide care in 23 regional locations throughout the area, including FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. An average of 1,500 people come to FHN daily for their healthcare needs.
“At the same time we’re focused on providing exceptional care to every patient, we are committed to ensuring that our physicians’ needs are continually identified and met,” said Mark Gridley, vice president of physician services at FHN. “Through our new physician referral program, we are striving to better align FHN with its physician community and solidify relationships with local residents.”
The Regional Medical Center, in Orangeburg, S.C., is a 286-bed acute-care facility employing more than 1,200 healthcare professionals. Serving Orangeburg and Calhoun counties and surrounding areas, RMC is accredited by The Joint Commission and offers a 24-hour emergency department and a full range of high-quality medical services such as same-day surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, cardiology and the latest in diagnostic imaging. RMC received the prestigious Thomson Reuters Healthcare Advantage Award in 2010 for clinical advancements in quality patient care.
“Using Aegis’ physician relationship management software and program, our goal is to build stronger relationships with RMC’s entire physician community,” said Brenda Williams, vice president of strategy and compliance at RMC. “As models of care are changing, it is more important than ever that we become more closely aligned with our medical staff.”
